New Math Assessments and worksheets for addition, subtraction, money, and time.

Each of these packets has an intervention with four levels of difficulty for each subject. I have also included practice sheets that can be used for homework or during math center. I added the money poems to TPT for free.

Math Posters

I made these posters last summer and they have worked like a charm! Identifying coins is one of my teams GVCs. (Guaranteed Viable Curriculum) I have included little tricks for identifying the coins. For example, the Lincoln Memorial has a flat roof like a one, so the value is 1 cent.

Animal Antics Writing

This is a book for writing about animals. It contains 40 animals, with an animal for each letter of the alphabet and a few extras. Each page has a visual of how to draw the animal. It also contains a word bank with words about the animal's habitat, characteristics, and descriptive words. I use once a week and show a video or read a book about the animal. I model for the students how to draw the animal. Even if you aren't very artistic, you can draw these animals. It is my favorite writing activity!

Word Work for K-2 Magnetic center

This is a center I made last year for first grade. I am planning on using it next year for second. I loved it because it was self-correcting.

Sight Word Extravaganza

Last year while teaching first grade, I noticed my students weren't progressing very well when it came to sight words. I have always thought just practicing a list was pretty boring and super hard for second language learners. So I wrote their words on index cards and then wrote a sentence underneath the word. It was amazing how quick they could learn the word while it was embedded in print. I did it around February. I felt like kicking myself for not doing it sooner! I also had the kids read their words before they began Read to Someone and with our 4th Grade Buddies. Then a friend of mine told me she had her students read the three sight words every time they went out the door or came in. So to make life easier, I made a booklet with all the second grade words embedded in print with a poster for 'Your ticket out the door.'
